Poolrev, Inc. ("Pool," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Pool platform (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose information when you use our Service.

- We collect information to provide the Service, ensure security, and comply with legal and financial regulatory obligations, such as Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws and Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements.

- Identity Verification Information: To comply with financial regulations and Stripe's requirements, we or our partners may collect government-issued identification numbers (e.g., SSN, EIN), date of birth, and physical address.
- Financial and Tax Information: Bank account details, routing numbers, and tax identification information (e.g., W-9 data). This information is primarily collected and processed by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store full bank account or payment card information on our servers.
- Transaction Information: Details about the Projects, funding commitments, distributions, and the timing of transactions.
- Third-Party Integration Data: If you link a third-party service (e.g., Shopify), we access and collect data from that service, such as revenue figures or sales metrics, as authorized by you, to calculate distributions.
- User Content: Information posted on the Platform, such as Project descriptions, reviews, flair, and communications between Users.
- Usage and Technical Data: IP addresses, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and information about your interaction with our Platform.
- Cookies and Tracking: We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, analytics, and marketing purposes (including retargeting).
- How We Use Information
To Provide the Service: To create accounts, facilitate transactions between Owners and Contributors, calculate revenue shares, and execute payment instructions.
- To Comply with Laws and Regulations: To perform identity verification (KYC), screen against sanctions lists, monitor for fraud and money laundering (AML), and fulfill tax reporting obligations.
- For Security and Fraud Prevention: To protect the security of our Service and prevent unauthorized access or illegal activities.
- To Communicate: For customer support and administrative messages.
- To Maintain and Improve: To analyze usage patterns and improve the functionality of the Platform.
- For Marketing and Advertising: To market our services, including using targeted advertising (retargeting) for visitors to our website.
- How We Share and Disclose Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information in the following circumstances:
- With Stripe: We share extensive information with Stripe, our payment processor, as necessary to facilitate payments, conduct KYC/AML checks, manage financial compliance, and facilitate tax reporting. Your information is also processed according to Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
- With Other Users: We share necessary information between Owners and Contributors to facilitate a Project (e.g., usernames, project details, transaction status).
- Service Providers: We use third-party providers for hosting, analytics, identity verification, and customer support. Legal and Regulatory Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request (e.g., to the IRS or financial regulators).
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred.
- Data Security
We maintain commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we process. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We rely significantly on the security measures provided by our infrastructure and payment partners, including Stripe.

We retain information as necessary to provide the Service and as required by applicable laws and regulations. We may be required to retain certain information, such as transaction data and identity verification data, for significant periods even after an account is closed, in compliance with financial, tax, and anti-money laundering laws.
- International Data Transfers
Poolrev, Inc. is based in the United States. Information may be transferred to, processed, and stored in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.
